Welcome to Our Story, a journey of love, faith, and the beautiful experience of raising my son, Alex, who happens to have autism.

Our story began with Alex's miraculous arrival into the world, much earlier than expected, at just 24 weeks. His tiny presence filled our lives with overwhelming joy and hope, despite the uncertainties that lay ahead. Little did I know, his journey would inspire a movement that transcends barriers and fosters understanding and acceptance for individuals like him.

It wasn't until Alex turned four that we received his autism diagnosis after seeking guidance from a neuro specialist. This revelation ignited a flame within me—a passion to challenge perceptions and advocate for a world where autism is not just tolerated but celebrated. Thus, Autism Acceptance 365 was born—a testament to our unwavering commitment to acceptance, every day of the year.

Rejecting the notion of mere "awareness," which often carries a sense of caution or fear, I passionately champion the concept of acceptance. I believe in embracing individuals with autism for who they are, understanding that their unique behaviors may be misunderstood but should never be met with judgment.

As a devoted wife and mother of two boys—Angel, my eldest at 16, and Alex, now 9—I've witnessed firsthand the power of love and resilience. Despite facing daunting prognoses from medical professionals, my family held onto hope and faith, believing in Alex's limitless potential.

Against all odds, Alex not only survived but thrived. His journey, marked by milestones that defied expectations, is a testament to the miracles we've experienced. From being told he might never walk to witnessing him take those first independent steps, I can't help but attribute every blessing to the grace of Jesus.

Navigating public spaces with Alex hasn't always been easy. We've encountered stares and judgmental glances from those who fail to understand his unique perspective. Yet, through it all, I remain steadfast in my commitment to share our story—to offer support, empathy, and a beacon of hope to others walking a similar path.

In my eyes, Alex is not defined by his diagnosis but by the love that surrounds him. He is a cherished member of our family, deserving of acceptance, respect, and the opportunity to live a fulfilling life.
